Tours, Nile cruises and travel guides by a local team in Egypt.
Honest, up-to-date guides written by our team in Egypt.
Yes, millions of tourists visit Egypt every year, and the main tourist areas (Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan and the Red Sea resorts) are well policed. As anywhere, check your government’s latest travel advice, avoid restricted border areas and use licensed guides and transport. Read our safety tips for Egypt.
October to April is the most comfortable time, with warm days and cooler evenings. Summer (June to August) is very hot in Luxor and Aswan but fine for the Red Sea. More in our guide: when is the best time to visit Egypt.
Plan 7 to 10 days for a first trip: 2–3 days in Cairo and Giza, 3–4 days in Luxor and Aswan (or a Nile cruise between them), and a few days on the Red Sea if you want to relax.
Most visitors need a visa. Many nationalities can get an e-visa online before travelling or a visa on arrival at major airports. Rules change, so check the official Egypt e-visa portal for your nationality before you book.
Tell us your dates and what you love, and our local team will suggest the right tours and Nile cruises.
