Tutankhamun’s tomb (KV62) is a small tomb in the Valley of the Kings, and it needs a separate ticket on top of your Valley of the Kings entry. The famous treasures, including the golden mask, are now at the Grand Egyptian Museum; in the tomb you see the painted burial chamber and the king’s mummy. Allow 15–20 minutes.
Tutankhamun was a pharaoh of the 18th dynasty who came to the throne as a child around 1332 BC and died young, in about 1323 BC.

It is small and the treasure is elsewhere. Visit if you love the story; otherwise spend your ticket money on a larger tomb or the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Visit KV62 for the story and the mummy, but do not expect the treasure – that is at the Grand Egyptian Museum. Buy the extra ticket only if Tutankhamun is a priority.
